I wrote this out a few days ago, on my google docs account 😛😖🥺
What good is health care and free education gonna do (or even universal basic income) if I’m homeless? Is it so that I can go to the doctor when I’m sick, go to college if I feel like it, and then go back to the streets, or the homeless shelter? Or maybe save up money from my weekly government subsidies so that I can eventually afford rent (which will also be tyrannised by a landlord, if I fail to pay)?
? It’s all abs. meaningless, unfortunately.

-i’d rather have housing for everyone and like, health care and education that’s half-covered (reduced in price), rather than universal health care, education, and basic income, but have a housing crisis//homelessness not being solved or greatly lessened.
Also: I completely understand now, why nobody wanted #trump or #biden. Their foreign policy sux (#trump had Iike, a crazy amount of drone strikes, I guess, and he also did sanctions on poor countries….and Biden also has a bad record), and neither of them are friends of the poor and working class, to the extent that homelessness will be addressed vry strongly. To be fair; homelessness has often been looked at and treated as a feature or intrinsic characteristic of American life, rather than as a problem that can be solved, politically. Then again, if no one’s gonna really try to solve poverty, what’s the point of talking about economic justice and ‘helping people,’ and etc.? Homeless and poor people are at the crux of economic injustice – they’re at the worst end of it, the severe end of it. Start there, pls……Don’t start with people who are already relatively ok. Like; the lower middle class, basically. Don’t start with the lower middle class, ‘trying to get them to middle class life,’ or whatever. That’s as weird as it gets, in my honest opinion. so forget that, just forget it. Start with the absolute poor/homeless*, and get them a home. And then (after that), you can help with the other, less dire needs of society. #Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. So, first things first; first, there’s the need for shelter (homes) and food and safety. Then psychological needs…And then self-actualization needs, and etc., etc.
