I don’t really have strong interest in the negative moments of life; I think they’re there as guideposts towards the positive. Every cloud has a silver lining, and life is extremely brief and transitory. If ‘there’s nothing’ after death, no one would know about it. But if there’s grace and peace after death, then it’s all good; it would be a win-win, an all-around benefit and a good ending.

I believe in god, though that might change very rapidly and without much warning. I’d been an atheist for about two years, in the past.

I’m not caught up at all with belief in god, I don’t think it’s necessary. I do believe that it is god’s grace that has carried me through so far; but many people seem to not believe, and they’re doing fine. Their lives are enriched and abundant in meaning. I don’t think you need god to live a meaningful life, one filled with clarity and peace.
